This pattern was going along all easy-peasy until I realized there was a bit of confusion with my counting. It said KRL and then knit 7 and I didn't know whether or not the knit 7 started with the stitch that I KRL'd into or the one after that - was the action of KRLing a one stitch maneuver or two? I know now that it was just one but it was enough to plant a seed of doubt...
I just frogged the last four rows, not because I've made a mistake (that I can see) but because I'm second guessing myself and just learning the whole KRL/KLL thing and I have a hard time keeping my tension even when I don't have the stitch down just right. I don't even really know why but I want a redo. #crazyladyliveshere The shoulder shaping is really the only thing this piece has to keep it from being a tube, and I'd hate to have a gap to a bump.
I am finishing up All The Light We Cannot See after a few weeks off because I had to return it to the library and there was a waitlist for it. I am really enjoying it despite the fact that I saw a review to the contrary. I have a really hard time when I want to like something but someone else says they don't. I don't like when others lift the veil on a story by needling out all the contradictions and weaknesses.
I am just starting Little Heathens on my Kindle. Its subtitle tells you all you need to know: Hard Times and High Spirits on and Iowa Farm During the Great Depression. The only other thing you may care to know is that she includes family recipes!
Julian has moved on to Have His Carcase by Dorothy Sayers and for the most part he is reading to numb his brain and rest so I don't hear many of the details of the story. He does entertain me with funny quotes from time to time and that is nice.
What are you reading/working on? Show and tell with me, Ginny and the others!
