Drawstring Pouch

My cousin's baby celebrated his first birthday at the end of August but our schedule was too jam-packed to make the trip to join the party. I bought a little gift and have been meaning to put it in the mail, but the packaging of the little animals was a weird shape, not conducive to shipping in a convenient parcel. So I made a pouch!

I used this tutorial and true to its claims, the bag went together fairly easily and in little time. In addition to being happy that little Will can now tote his animal friends with him, the fabric was chosen on a fun day out with his grandmother AND the ribbon was saved years ago from some Anthropologie gift wrapping that I have saved, and saved, and saved. This was a very satisfying craft,  indeed!

Keep calm and craft on with Frontier Dreams.

  3. Now THIS looks perfect for a young one to tote many things around. My littles love bags! They stuff them with almost any toy or treasure that'll fit.
